Fortnite Fans Are Not Happy About Potential New Collaboration

A recent post on Fortnite’s Twitter account suggests that the game could soon see a crossover with Skibidi Toilet, and many players are not happy about it. Skibidi Toilet is a web series that has gained a lot of popularity through shorts and YouTube videos. Supposedly , director Michael Bay is working on film and television adaptations to bring the property to more mainstream audiences. With so much popularity, some felt it was only a matter of time before Skibidi Toilet came to Fortnite in some fashion.

December has been a big month for Epic Games and Fortnite. Since the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1, the developer has added Fortnite OG, Brick Life, and Ballistic modes in an effort to expand the many ways players can engage with the game. In addition to all of that, Fortnite’s annual Winterfest is just around the corner. During the event, players can expect to see changes to the battle royale map, free cosmetics, and the return of the game’s winter lodge. Winterfest is a cozy event that many players look forward to every year, especially since it usually comes with a couple of free skins.

A recent post on Fortnite’s official Twitter account features three emojis, which many players believe signify an upcoming crossover with Skibidi Toilet. Fans were quick to flood the comment section with gifs and images expressing disappointment with the potential collaboration. Prominent Fortnite content creator ThisIsITalk said, “this is the most embarrassing I’ve ever felt for Fortnite.” It remains to be seen what the collaboration will entail, but it’s likely players will see a new set of cosmetics in the game’s item shop. While many fans were recently excited to hear about potential Fortnite collaborations with Demon Slayer and Cyberpunk 2077, Skibidi Toilet seems to have missed the mark.

Skibidi Toilet Might Be Coming to Fortnite

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time in recent history that some fans have been disappointed with a crossover. While many players were happy to hear about another Into the Spider-Verse collaboration, some fans were let down by Peter B. Parker’s cosmetics in Fortnite. With such a large audience, it’s hard for Epic Games to please all of its fans with any possible crossover. It’s also worth noting that, while many fans seem to be upset about the Skibidi Toilet collaboration, it could still be a hit for the popular battle royale.

Outside of cosmetics, the game has experienced a lot of success recently. The launch of Fortnite OG alone managed to reach over one million concurrent players within hours of its release. Even though Ballistic is still in early access, it pulled in more players than the game’s battle royale mode during its opening hours. While it remains to be seen if this latest collaboration will be another win for Fortnite, many fans have expressed excitement about the future of the game itself.
